Pascal's wheel

Pascal’s wheel was a mechanical calculator invented by Blaise Pascal in the early 17th century. He designed the machine to add and subtract two numbers directly and to perform multiplication and division through repeated addition or subtraction. It is also known as Pascal´s calculator and the
Pascaline.

Blaise Pascal was born on June 19, 1623 in Clermont-Ferrand in France and he sadly died on August 19, 1662 in Paris. He was a French mathematician , physicist and a religious philosopher. Blaise Pascal laid the foundation for the modern theory of probabilities formulated what came to be known as Pascal’s principal of pressure.
