I live Orihuela Costa in Spain. Since we moved here 2 years ago I have experienced several small earthquakes. They are like large trucks passing by and sometimes we don’t even realise there has been an earthquake. There have been a few larger earthquakes which we all felt for about 10-15 seconds. There wasn’t any damage caused, but we all felt them and our pets felt them too.
In Lorca, Murica, there was the largest local earthquake for over 50 years. It was in May 2011. It was much bigger than any earthquake we have experienced. You can click on the link below to read an article and watch a video from the BBC about the Loca earthquake.
